plated sterling silver, [context: Five gold pendant necklaces displayed on draped satin fabric in beige, green, blue, red, and black. The necklaces feature distinct pendants: a white pearl, a rectangular green gemstone, an oval red gemstone, and a geometric blue gemstone.]

The Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Mox Collection launches October 16, 2026, exclusively at RockLove.com. The officially licensed collection features five necklaces inspired by the legendary Mox—Pearl, Sapphire, Jet, Ruby, and Emerald—each handcrafted in solid, nickel-free sterling silver and finished in 14K yellow gold. Limited to 1,000 individually numbered pieces per design, the necklaces are fulfilled in the order placed, priced at $365 each, and ship worldwide. Sign up for early access below, and take a closer look at each piece.

“I wanted the Mox to feel as though Dan Frazier’s artwork had stepped directly off the cards and become real. Meticulously translating every detail from the distinctive suspended settings to custom-cut gemstones matching the shapes and faceting of the original illustrations.”

— Allison Cimino, CEO & Designer

The Five Mox

Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Mox Pearl Necklace — Pearl set in 14K gold
plated sterling silver, [context: a gold teardrop pendant necklace with a smooth, lustrous white pearl-like drop, suspended from a gold ball chain against a soft beige satin fabric background.]

Mox Pearl

The Mox Pearl is the white mana artifact, and the only piece in the collection built around a pearl rather than a faceted stone. A smooth, luminous pearl sits top-drilled in a flared setting, carefully proportioned to replicate the distinctive teardrop shape in the card illustration.

The setting cradling it carries serrated and beaded detailing drawn directly from the original Mox, finished with a tube-style bail that lets the pendant move freely along the chain, completing the floating construction shown in the card art. Glass pearls are built by forming a glass core and layering lustrous coating over it, which delivers the dimensional glow of a natural pearl with considerably more durability.

Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Mox Sapphire Necklace — Sapphire set in 14K gold plated sterling silver, [context: a gold pendant necklace with a faceted blue gemstone, displayed on a textured royal blue fabric background.]

Mox Sapphire

The Mox Sapphire is the blue mana artifact and the most optically dramatic piece in the collection. A custom kite-shaped lab-grown blue spinel is precisely cut to replicate the silhouette and faceting of the stone on the card, vivid sapphire blue, with the brilliance to light up the sculpted gold setting from the inside.

The substantial three-dimensional frame and precision bezel hold the iconic Mox shape at real scale. The pendant is suspended by twin lengths of slender curb chain, secured with jump rings through two sculpted loops in the frame, exactly as depicted in the card art.

Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Mox Jet Necklace — Onyx set in 14K gold
plated sterling silver, [context: gold-tone oval pendant necklace with a smooth black cabochon stone, displayed on a dark textured fabric background.]

Mox Jet

The Mox Jet is the black mana artifact, and the one piece in the collection that hangs differently from the rest. A smooth, domed black onyx cabochon is custom cut and bezel set within a sculpted oval frame, accented by beaded detailing spaced at precise intervals.

Black onyx was a deliberate substitution. Natural jet is fossilized wood rather than a mineral, and it's notoriously susceptible to scratching and breakage; onyx delivers the same luxurious depth of black with far greater durability. The pendant hangs between twin lengths of slender cable chain, secured through sculpted C-shaped loops just as the card art shows. It is the only Mox in this collection on cable chain, and that gives it an almost medieval silhouette.

Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Mox Ruby Necklace — Ruby set in 14K gold
plated sterling silver, [context: gold oval pendant necklace with a faceted red gemstone, displayed on draped red satin fabric.]

Mox Ruby

The Mox Ruby is the red mana artifact and the most restrained design in the collection. An enormous custom-cut cubic zirconia crystal in fiery ruby red is precisely faceted to replicate the geometry of the stone in the original illustration, set to capture and refract light from every angle.

The bezel sits in a simple, sleek oval frame, no beading, no ornament, just the stone and the gold. The pendant is suspended between twin lengths of slender curb chain, secured by diminutive jump rings on either side of the setting. The dual-chain suspension and pared-back design give this legendary artifact a surprisingly modern silhouette.

Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Mox Emerald Necklace — Emerald set in 14K gold plated sterling silver, [context: a gold pendant necklace featuring a large, faceted green rectangular gemstone with gold prongs, resting on a draped green satin fabric background.]

Mox Emerald

The Mox Emerald is the green mana artifact and the most figurative piece RockLove has produced for this collection. Frazier's illustration has a small creature sculpted around the stone, and we recreated it: pointed ears, expressive features, and tooth-like prong settings gripping an enormous custom-cut cubic zirconia in brilliant emerald green.

The pendant is weighty and fully three-dimensional. It free-slides along a slender curb chain threaded directly through the creature's pointed ears, exactly as it appears in the card art. It's the piece most people don't expect, and the one that rewards looking closely.

The Detail Collectors Notice First

Four of the five hang from slender curb chain. The Mox Jet is the only piece on cable chain, not a styling choice, but because that's what Frazier painted. The same attention to detail runs through the rest: Pearl and Emerald free-slide along a single chain while Sapphire, Jet, and Ruby sit fixed between twin lengths of chain.

The Power Nine: What the Mox Actually Are

The five Mox first appeared in Limited Edition Alpha in 1993 and were reprinted in Beta and Unlimited. All five were painted by Dan Frazier, one of Magic's twenty-five original artists. On every card, the subject is the same austere thing: a piece of jewelry, rendered in gold, holding a single enormous stone.

Mechanically they are almost absurdly simple. A Mox is a zero-cost artifact that taps for one mana of its color. That's the entire card, and it's exactly why the Mox broke the game. Free permanents that produce mana let a deck do on turn one what it shouldn't manage until turn three.

Today all five sit on the Reserved List, meaning Wizards has committed not to reprint them in a tournament-legal, functionally identical form. They're restricted in Vintage and banned in Legacy and Commander. For most players, owning one isn't a realistic ambition.

One note on scope, because collectors care: the five Mox are five of the nine cards known as the Power Nine. This collection covers the Mox. It does not include Black Lotus, Ancestral Recall, Time Walk, or Timetwister.

About the Wizards of the Coast × RockLove Partnership

RockLove is an officially licensed Magic: The Gathering jewelry partner, working directly with Wizards from original card art. Every piece is hallmarked for authenticity, produced to certified ethical manufacturing standards, designed in New York, and responsibly crafted in Thailand.

What Arrives in the Box

Every piece ships in a signature Magic: The Gathering X RockLove Collector's Dice Box: black exterior, "Mythic Orange" interior. The flap opens to reveal a slide-out compartment printed with the side image of stacked Magic cards. The jewelry nestles in branded soft black flocking, and a black fabric drawstring travel satchel with silkscreened logos is included. It's built to display, not discard.

Each piece also comes with its own collectible, non-playable numbered Authenticity Card, produced in collaboration with Wizards. The front carries the original artwork the jewelry design is drawn from. The back details the collaboration and the matching series number engraved on your piece.

Please note: these are made-to-order limited editions. All sales are final. Your order reserves your specific number in the edition sequence, and we cannot accommodate requests for particular numbers.

How to Get the Mox Collection

All five pieces launch online October 16, 2026 at rocklove.com/collections/magic-the-gathering and ship worldwide. Series numbers are assigned in the order orders are placed — order early for a lower number. International shipping is available, with VAT applied at checkout and no region restrictions.

The collection will also be on display at MagicCon: Atlanta this November — more on that below.

Caring for Your Mox

Every piece is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, hallmarked for authenticity, and produced to certified ethical manufacturing standards. Gold-plated sterling silver keeps its finish best when it is kept away from moisture and chemicals: remove your Mox before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping, and store it in the Collector's Dice Box or the included satchel rather than loose with other jewelry.

The Mox Pearl needs a little more attention than the rest. Glass pearls are more durable and more consistently shaped than natural pearls, but perfumes, lotions, cosmetics, household chemicals, and abrasive surfaces should still be avoided. Just wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth after wear, and store it separately in the provided pouch or box to protect the surface.

Also This November: RockLove at MagicCon Atlanta

Beyond the October 16 online launch, the Mox Collection will be for sale live at MagicCon: Atlanta, running Friday, November 13 through Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the Georgia World Congress Center, Building C, 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30313. Find RockLove at Booth 3070, near the front of the show — all five Mox will be on display, available to try on and to purchase. You do not need a MagicCon badge to own one; the collection is available online starting October 16 regardless of whether you attend.

It's the final MagicCon of 2026 and the host site for Magic World Championship 32. RockLove is also part of the wider Mox Collection program across the show: a Black Lotus Thursday evening event ahead of the show floor opening, an artist panel, a scavenger hunt running across participating booths, and showcase moments throughout the hall. Details as they are confirmed.

And do not forget to visit the MagicCon Official Merch Booth, which will have exclusive RockLove Black Lotus and Pip jewelry pieces available for purchase.

Star Trek and Magic, in the Same Room

There is a second reason Atlanta matters this year. Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek releases on November 13, 2026, MagicCon Atlanta's opening day, with prerelease events running November 6 through 12. The set brings characters, adversaries, and starships from across sixty years of Star Trek into Magic, timed to the franchise's 60th anniversary.

RockLove is officially licensed for both. Alongside the Mox at Booth 3070, we will have a QR code for the Star Trek 60th Anniversary Diamond Collection, conflict-free diamonds and sustainably sourced mother of pearl, designed for the same anniversary the Magic set is celebrating. Two licenses, one anniversary, one booth.

Yes. Every piece is officially licensed by Wizards of the Coast and ships with a numbered Authenticity Card produced in collaboration with Wizards, certifying the piece and matching the number engraved on the jewelry.

Solid nickel-free sterling silver finished in 14K yellow gold, with sculptural detail produced through lost-wax casting and hallmarked for authenticity. Center stones vary by piece: glass pearl for the Pearl, lab-grown blue spinel for the Sapphire, black onyx for the Jet, and custom-cut cubic zirconia for the Ruby and Emerald. Every piece is hypoallergenic and made to certified ethical manufacturing standards. Designed in New York, responsibly crafted in Thailand.

Store separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to protect the pearl's lustrous surface.

Can I request a specific edition number?

Is RockLove doing anything for Magic: The Gathering X Star Trek?

RockLove is officially licensed for both Magic: The Gathering and Star Trek. The MTG X Star Trek set releases November 13, 2026, the opening day of MagicCon Atlanta. There is no set MTG X Star Trek X RockLove collaboration at this time.

Why glass pearl, spinel, onyx, and cubic zirconia instead of natural stones?

Each stone was selected to match the scale, cut, and color shown in the original card art while surviving daily wear. Natural jet, for example, is fossilized wood rather than a mineral and scratches and breaks easily; black onyx delivers the same depth of black with far more durability. The card art called for enormous, perfectly proportioned stones, and these materials deliver that consistently across a thousand pieces.
